Christina Chen, Cello

Christina Chen is a vibrant and engaging cellist based in Pittsburgh. As a versatile solo performer as well as collaborator in chamber and orchestral settings, she has performed frequently with the Wheeling Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Resonance Works, Westmoreland Symphony, Youngstown Symphony, and Orlando Philharmonic. As an avid and conscious musician, she is equally passionate about performing new and standard repertoire, along with a commitment to supporting music from historically underrepresented composers and populations. She is an active teacher and advocate for equitable opportunities in music education. Christina earned her Master’s degree and Performance Certificate at Carnegie Mellon University studying with Anne Martindale Williams and Bachelor’s degree at the University of Florida studying with Steven Thomas.
