You will find all open positions listed below, along with their requirements. Materials will be accepted as long the application is open. Offer of employment at this audition is contingent upon the winning candidate’s ability to provide proof of their current ability to work in the U.S. Employment workforce. The BCSO is a per-service orchestra.

The BCSO season consists of 6 concerts usually on the first Saturday of the month, October through April. Three of those concerts are pops and three are classics. Rehearsals are always the week of the concert, 2-3 for pops and 4 for classics, including a dress rehearsal the day of the concert in the afternoon. Other concerts may include a summer outdoor concert and an education outreach concert.

Substitute Players in all sections
Submit a five minute video of your choice of repertoire. Successful candidates will be placed on the substitute list as a result of this audition and will be engaged to perform with the orchestra when core players require a substitute.

Principal Harp: This position is for Principal Harp as needed for the season.  The player who commits to all or one less than the concerts offered will receive principal core rate for the season. Please submit a resume and a five minute video of your choice of repertoire. Be sure you are in full view of the camera.
