Elizabeth Cramer (Cellist) Retires from BCSO after 33 Seasons

While it is sad to see Elizabeth retire, it gives us an opportunity to celebrate her long and fruitful musical career here at the Butler County Symphony Orchestra.

Elizabeth Cramer began her time with the Butler County Symphony Orchestra in the 1986-87 concert season under the baton of Conductor Dr. Paul Chenevy.

“During those 33 seasons I had the opportunity to learn and perform hundreds of pieces of glorious music. Additionally, I had the honor of meeting exceptional colleagues who are also good friends. I will miss playing with the BCSO but I will always remember the joy of this experience.” – Elizabeth Cramer

Over the course of 33 seasons Elizabeth has worked with 5 music directors of the Butler County Symphony Orchestra.

  • Dr. Paul Chenevy (1975-86)
  • Robin Fountain (1987-94)
  • Dr. Brady Allred (1995-1997)
  • Elisabeth Heath Charles (1998-2012)
  • Matthew Kraemer (2013-present)

“The Butler County Symphony is truly grateful for Elizabeth’s dedication and professionalism these past 33 years.  Through the decades-long musical contributions of Elizabeth, her husband Dennis, and several other long-serving members of the BCSO, our orchestra has continued to grow and flourish over its impressive history.”

– Maestro Matthew Kraemer

From the Administration, Board of Directors, Musicians and all others involved here at the Butler County Symphony Orchestra we would like to say “Thank you!” for 33 years of music!
