Three to be Honored by Butler County Symphony
Butler, Pa. (August 22, 2018) – The Butler County Symphony Association has selected three recipients for its first annual awards celebration. The honorees are Janice Larrick, Charles Norton, and the Butler Area School District. They will be honored at a dinner, “Symphony Platinum: 70 Years in the Making,” to be held on Friday, September 14th at 6:30 pm at the Butler Country Club.
The awards have been established to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the Butler County Symphony. “Because this is the 70th anniversary season of the Butler County Symphony, we feel that this is a fitting and long-overdue recognition of some very special people who have made this journey possible. It is the Association’s intent to select and honor additional individuals and/or groups each season. Their names will be added to a plaque which will be displayed in the symphony office.” Patricia Stagno, Board President
Janice Larrick has been a longtime supporter and past president and board member of the Symphony. Charles Norton has been a performing member and continued supporter of the Symphony. The Butler Area School District has been a community partner since the start of the Symphony.
The awards celebration will include a cocktail hour with cash bar, dinner, performances by the Strolling Strings and Vince Tavolario, and the awards presentation. Tickets for the dinner are $70 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 724-822-7585 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
