The Butler County Symphony has held the Annual Young Artist Competition since 1980. The competition alternates between high school aged and college aged students. This year’s concert was open to any high school age musician (grades 9-12) within a 25-mile radius of Butler, or any high school age musician in a PMEA District 5 school. Students auditioned for our judges, and one student is chosen each year to perform as a soloist with the Butler County Symphony Orchestra.
