The Butler County Symphony was one of several Butler County nonprofit organizations that benefited from donations during the 2014 Day of Giving on Tuesday, May 6.
This event was part of Give Local America, the national day for community foundations across the country.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Butler County Symphony Association had the third highest total among the Butler County nonprofits. A total of $6,075 was donated and $1,565 was matched through the fund.
“We are fortunate to live in an area where there is a strong emphasis in the Arts,” says Ed Wadding, President, Butler County Symphony Association. “Like most arts organizations, our ticket prices only cover about 30% of our expenses. We are so thankful to those individuals who have shown their financial support on the Day of Giving and over the last 65 years so that we can continue to share our music.”
